364 days...

Tomorrow at 7:51 am our precious Logan entered our lives. I have been thinking non-stop all week about what I was doing this time last year. Remembering the excitement, fear and anticipation leading up to the moment I heard his first cry.

Well Little Bean...I sure have loved every second of the last twelve months being your Mommy. Watching you change and grow into such a beautiful little boy. You make us proud every day and we are so blessed to have you in our lives.

Logan's New Room!

It's been busy around here as usual! The latest project on my plate was to put together a bedroom for Logan in our little cabin. The house building is still plugging along, so I decided to give Logan a room now rather than making him wait until our house is completed. Not to mention, after Christmas I needed a place for all his toys!! So here it is...

Well I think this is a pretty good 'temporary' bedroom until we move - Enjoy little man!!

I just found this blog belonging to Amber Lee Life In Color and I cannot stop drooling over all her amazing creations!! I am wanting to get on the scrapbooking band wagon and boy did I stumble upon the scrapbooker of all scrapbookers!! Go check it out!

Amber you're AMAZING!!

Hello...anyone still out there....

No I have not dropped off the face of the planet - I've just been the worst blogger in the history of blogging!! My little Logan seems to take up all my time...and when it's not Logan then I'm working working working at Studio 947 (so much for trying to take a couple months maternity leave!). I have had a constant flow of clients since Logan was born, and am really wanting it to slow down a little so that I can get back into my crafting...I'M HAVING WITHDRAWL - do they make a patch?!?

My little sweetheart is growing up into quite the little boy. He has four teeth to date (two front teeth top and bottom) and is loving solid foods (he has quite the appetite). He is constantly jabbering on and on about who only knows and has fallen deeply in love with his jolly jumper. He's starting to get the hang of crawling...but in reverse - so needless to say when there is a toy infront of him and he starts heading in the opposite direction he gets pretty angry.

The house is getting close to the drywalling stage, then the real fun will begin. Finally it's almost my turn to get involved with all the finishes, appliances etc...I CAN'T WAIT!

I did manage to finish A CRAFT over the weekend, which I will post a picture of this afternoon. It felt wonderful to get behind the sewing machine! The next project I want to tackle is Logan's scrapbook. I have been collecting all this awsome stuff for it and it's been taunting me like crazy to get in there and start putting it together. Seriously, I have dreams about what the pages are going to look like....aahhhhhh the confessions of a craft-o-holic!!

I am addicted...

...to Facebook!! So sorry I haven't been around for so long - I have been spending all my free time on Facebook!! It's amazing how quickly that site has taken off, and just how many old friends that you lost track of you can find in a matter of minutes!!

I have been trying for quite some time now to finish a monkey I started for Logan (what a bad crafting mother...good thing he won't remember any of this...) and finally just have the eyes to finish.

We are finally getting some warmer weather out here on the coast and am eager to start BBQing and relaxing at the beach.

Our little bean is getting bigger and bigger by the minute! He is such a strong and healthy little guy - we are so lucky. With very little help, he can already go from a sitting to a standing position and he's not even three months old yet!!

We went on our first "photoshoot" to Granville Island last week, and got some amazing pictures!

These are just a few of my favourites! Our photographer, Vasia, did such an amazing job! She's going to take some more later this summer on Bowen...I can't wait!

Little Bug

WOW - the little bug (or wormy as we like to call him) is already over a month old! He has changed so much in such a short time and grown like a little weed! Last time we weighed him, he was almost 11 pounds - slow down Logan! He has started making wonderful little cooing and gobbly gook noises that are so sweet and best of all...he recognizes his Mommy and Daddy and rewards us with beautiful smiles that just light up my life!

In case you're wondering why Logan looks 'balder' in these pictures than previously posted, it's because I accidentally rubbed the hair off the top of his head...oops! He had a bit of cradle cap so I thought I would give him a bath and wash his hair incase that helped - but instead, his hair fell out when I dried off his head! So now he has a little Friar Tuck hairdo and as a result, two new hats!

First Beach Visit

Introducing...

...Logan Geoffrey Degner! This little sweetheart entered our lives in quite a burst of excitement on Tuesday, April 10th at 7:51 AM. After having a fairly uneventful night, thinking that this baby is never going to come, my water suddenly broke at 4:50 and he was here exactly three hours later weighing in at 9lbs and 18 inches long.

I have been dying to post this earlier, however, between trying to figure out this whole breastfeeding thing, and not being able to sit for longer than a few minutes at a time...oh and trying to squeeze in some sleep in there as well...it has proven to be a bit of a challenge.

We have to get to the midwife...will post more pictures later!

Past Due!!

Four days past due...when is this baby going to come?!?! I am getting very anxious...

Belly Bliss!!

Today the sun decided to make an appearance on our fair isle - what a lovely surprise! Tomorrow is supposed to be back to rain for the next several days, so I decided to call up my good friend Emily and see if she could spare an hour or two to take some maternity pictures of me. She's an amazing photographer, and I have always loved her artistic style through the lens.

This past Sunday was my little baby shower - it was WONDERFUL!! I will post some pictures as soon as I get some. My family is going to hold a 'meet the baby' get together as this shower was more for the Bowen folk. So any of you that are in town that didn't get an invite...do not worry, I didn't forget you, I just didn't have the space to accomodate everyone. So this way I get to have two.....tee hee hee!!
